Gonna be very interesting to see what Hickey does with that money, with the team likely keeping $4-5M for injury replacements. He may need to sign 1 or 2 late cuts, depending on how camp shakes out. He could look to extend Clay and Odrick now, insted of waiting for next year. Or, he could decide to carry over the money until next year.

As per owners, the cap could take a $15M jump, which would give us up to yet another #30-40M to go shopping with, and a potential RT deal looming.

For me, I would look to sign a vet on the OL, extend Clay and Odrick sooner as opposed to later, and carry over the balance.

We should be in good cap shape since we rarely end up resigning our own draft picks

The Clay re-signing is an interesting decision to me. Really liked him the first year then thought he took a step back, an obviously he took a big step forward last year. In my mind it is similar to the Jones situation he had an excellent year but I wanted to see him prove it one more year before we extended him, but understand why we did it earlier to try and get a better team deal. I’m on the fence about when to try and extend Clay so that is why I think it’s a tough call.

I'm thinking we use some of that money to extend Clay for sure, perhaps Odrick and we use a significant portion on Keller or other key free agent signings from other teams cuts. And I still think Moore could be cut to add another $4 million to our cap space.
