Camp observations
Quarterback Chad Henne turned in another solid practice and was especially proficient during the team's red zone 7-on-7 work. … Rookie FB/TE Charles Clay also stood out. He was a popular target of multiple quarterbacks and he caught two touchdown passes during 7-on-7 work. … RB Reggie Bush found the end zone at one point during practice and celebrated by throwing the ball to fans. … Veteran OL Vernon Carey worked at left guard. … The team wrapped up practice with a golf chipping contest. LS John Denney lofted a near perfect chip that landed inches from the pin — or, in this case, trash can — to beat out WR Brandon Marshall and LB Jason Taylor.

Clay has been impressive at times throughout this preseason but Saturday might have been his best day. He caught two touchdown passes and was targeted frequently during 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 work. Coach Tony Sparano said he has been most pleased with the mental part of Clay's game.
Who's down

Undrafted rookie QB Pat Devlin has had some nice moments this preseason but with the addition of newly signed QB Kevin O'Connell, Devlin's best bet of sticking around appears to be with the practice squad. He's fourth on the depth chart behind Henne, Matt Moore and O'Connell.
Injury report
OT Jake Long (knee), OG Ray Feinga (unknown) and OG Garrett Chisolm (knee) sat out another practice. … CB Will Allen, who sat out Friday's practice, was given another day off Saturday.

Is this the firs time Henne had 3 straight good practice. Now Omar say he still hasn't seen one good practice in 4 yr from Henne. Smdh

That is our illustrious HC doing what he does best-screwing with the OL.:hsmash:
Tony's a great coach. You just must not be able to comprehend his greatness.

All the Pat Devlin fans won't like that bit of news...If he is on the PS I'm sure he'll be poached. Wonder what's up with Will Allen? I swear the Dolphins use a low budget medical staff or something.

Tony Tony Tony.. if your ego didn't get in the way, Jake Long would be fine..

id hate to see devlin get picked away
from our practice squad by the jets and he ends up to be for real
that would be the ultimate WTF moment

Carey at LG makes TONS of sense. You want your best lineman on the QB's blindside. Long, Carey, and Pouncey could make for a great start. Let Incognito and Jerry fight it out for right guard (I'm hoping for Incognito, simply for the fact that he's so physical) and Colombo and Lewis fight for the RT spot (with Colombo likely winning).

I'd also be shocked if Devlin made the roster, but unless he shows well in preseason (and if he does, why would we cut him?), he'll be on our practice squad...

I think Long and Carey on the same side is gonna be pretty awesome. You've got two huge guys to open up holes for Bush and Thomas. I think our line has the potential to be a dominating run blocking unit.

I think Carey will be the RG but I think Sparano will mix it up to let the players get comfortable playing in different spots. I think Sparano looks at the opponents defensive line and wants the ability to change up the oline to get better man on man match ups. I don't agree with this, but that could be his mindset. I would think it would affect the chemistry and cohesiveness of the unit.
I am glad to see that Henne is playing better, even if it is only practice. Like it or not, he is the horse that make or break the season.
