“There are a lot of guys who are better players this year,” Christensen said. “A lot of things have changed. We know what we’re doing now. A lot of guys are more comfortable. We’re a better team - a better unit - by far than we were last year at this time.”
Christensen called Pouncey “one of the two best at the position in his league [with his brother, Steelers center Maurkice]. He will give [Cutler] a stability there that will help him.”

Yes it seems like a big risk. Can anyone here believe how highly he's thought of within the organization? I don't think I've heard any one player receive more praise from the coaching staff. He's voted team captain by his teammates. I've never seen a bigger disconnect between the fans, who think Pouncey will get hurt and isn't that good anyway, and the guys inside, who think he's the best center in the league and obviously a great guy, then when it comes to Pouncry.

Pouncey is a good player when he's healthy he's just not healthy or dependable in that regard enough.

When he played last year he carried a very high grade albeit for 5 games

Christensons words read like Jesse Davis and Sam young will be active. Steen moves to pivot in game and Jesse Davis comes in left guard with Sam young plan a depth tackle.

I agree, unlike last year, Miami is not getting used to a new offense, or have two stiffs at guard (Not that who Miami will have this year will be much themselves, but still better), then considering we have a healthy Parker looking like the player we hoped he would be, Jones and Pouncey are healthy and back, Ajayi has a year under his belt, there now is finally some talent next to Alanzo, which should help the LB squad plenty, and the corners are healthy.

Though there was far more potential of a great season with Tannehill then there will be with Cutler, if Gase can again control and help him enough where TDs far surpass the INTs, this could be a special year.

Are you suggesting that Pouncey won't play every snap or is that what you think happens if Pouncey goes down?

If/when pouncey goes down in game. I just wonder if the following week brendel would be inserted as the starting center.

Without question it is better. We saw a different team from game 6 onward, even with all the horrible injuries we suffered last year. If we were anywhere close to the team that we saw in games 1 through 5 last year, I'd be looking at the next draft class.

Digital, pretty much what I was going to say. The major change is from Tannehill to Cutler, but the team has an identity and it all begins with Ajayi and the running game.

:facepalm

Let's stay on topic. Players not on the roster have zero place in this discussion.

OK folks. If you want to debate Pouncey's ON FIELD actions, then please continue as normal. Any other debate about his personal life will result in a thread ban and possibly points. This is the last warning.

We complain about Pouncey being injured because we NEED him lol Let's not act like there's not 25 other teams (at least) wishing they had Pouncey lol Pouncey has never affected us off the field. We may not like his actions but Pouncey is far from a gangster like some think. He's friends with a murderer and made some dumb decisions in supporting his friend. We ALL seen what we are with and without Pouncey. We cannot just assume Pouncey will get re-injured. Is it likely? possibly. Is it a definite? no. I totally understand some peoples thoughts about it but he's still a stud. In the 5 games Pouncey played, Ajayi had 650 yds. So, in the other 10 games Ajayi played without he had 622 yds lol That's the difference amongst many others..
