Miami Dolphins LB Kiko Alonso
#47
6-foot-3, 239 pounds
Oregon, fourth season
Scouting Notes: Alonso is trying to get back to the dynamic playmaking ability he showed as a rookie after getting derailed by a knee injury. The Dolphins picked him up from Philadelphia by trading down in the draft and are betting on a resurgence. He’s got the speed to stay with Wilson and needs to be a deterrent when he thinks about running away from a broken play.

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson
#3
5-foot-11, 203 pounds
Wisconsin, fifth season
Scouting Notes: Beyond all the damage he does on rollouts, Wilson has topped 94 rushes every season in the league. Last year, he ran 103 times for 553 yards. That was actually down from the 849 yards and six touchdowns on 118 carries he had the year before. He never throws interceptions (2 percent of his career attempts have been picks), so the best-case scenario typically is holding him to small gains or pressuring him into a throwaway.

Crazy to think "tiny" Russel Wilson is only a few pounds lighter than our starting MLB. Kiko needs to put on at least another 20 lbs of healthy weight. He's way to light for the middle.

i'd settle for kiko tackling a running back

36 pounds is a few?

This is the way of the league. Lighter faster LBs who can cover. Passing is a much bigger phase of the game. The position must adapt. I think Kiko will be very good for us

Hmmm, Zach was 5-11 235. He did ok. Maybe it's not so much physical size but smarts and technique as well.

236 for a MLB on a 4-3 defense is ok. On a 3-4 defense the ILBs have to be 250. Having said that if the game comes down to Kiko vs Wilson then we're ****ed

Ozzy rules!!

Kiko is also 6' 3" maybe it's the extra length but he doesn't look compact enough for the position.

John Offerdahl was 6'3" and about 240. I'm not sure what appearance has to do with anything. Kuechly doesn't look compact. Did you ever see Ted Hendricks, Jack Lambert?

Kuechly is the same exact size as Kiko. I don't see the issue
