One of his coaches, Tony Oden, believes Howard has just scratched the ceiling of his potential. Howard entered stardom in 2018, but the thought of him at the next level should have Dolphins fans salivating. Howard is on the brink of being the undisputed best cornerback in the NFL, earning Revis Island-type respect.

A higher salary, of course, creates higher expectations. Consistency in production, leadership and health will be expected of Howard going forward.

I will give Grier credit for being so proactive with getting one of our star players locked up before their contract expires. A much better approach from t-Baums policy regarding our own players. He would have let Howard wall then signed Eric Rowe to that contract
 
Imo the key is for him to be healthy and be out there where he can help the team. I know most people here are happy with this but the contract is now out of the way. It's time to be out there now and play like a top corner every week.
 
If Howard can stay healthy, he will be well worth it. Good for the Dolphins keeping one of their own higher draft picks....finally.
