Yikes, I wouldnt. Vick is an AVERAGE QUARTERBACK, AMAZING ATHLETE.
Break down his numbers if you'd like, the guy can not make the "clutch throws" and reason for him struggling with the WEST COAST OFFENSE is because he cant make the passes. He's also got one hell of an arm, but so did Billy Joe Tolliver, Jay Schroeder, etc...but no way am I comparing Vick to those 2. As said, AVERAGE QB based on ability to throw, AMAZING athlete in what he can do.

Also take into consideration the offensive style of other teams. Would he fit in San Diego's offense? No.
1. You have an elite back in LT (Id prefer him running).
2. A very solid TE that requires passes over/under and on top.
3. A core of possesion receivers that run a tons of short routes (passes that Vick has a hard tme with.

So NO, I'll keep Brees with our offensive scheme. Yes, I can imagine how deadly that would be with LT and Vick in the back, blah blah blah...but as far as QB skills, Id take Culpepper, McNabb, Brady, T.Green, Favre over your boy Vick.

Culpepper (73 starts), McNabb (79), Brady (62), Green (83), Favre (205). They all should be better at this point they all have twice the experience. Look at all those QB's 1st 2 years and they didn't exactly set the world on fire. Brees has one good year after 27 awful starts his 1st 2 years and now you are telling me he is better than Mike Vick...

If it happens that way, you guys are welcome to tell me I'm wrong. I don't see it, though. They'll let Brees walk if they prefer Rivers. Remember that they will get a comp pick as long as they don't sign more free agents than they lose.

I think Brees would be a better qb, he's in a very somewhat balanced system, Shottenheimer is a disciplinary, much like Saban is. Although Brees has L.T. to help open up the passing game, we have the recievers, yet to develop the running game. With this season upon us, I do believe that we will re-establish the running game, we've got a stable full of horses to run, just need a jockey! Brees, could be that jockey.

I said OUR SYSTEM AND OFFENSE BETTER SUITS BREES because Vick is NOT A PURE passer.

Ay... I agree. I didnt say GREEN IS A BETTER PLAYER THAN VICK. I said GREEN is a BETTER QUARTERBACK than VICK.

Take for example the game vs. the Chiefs last year. You contain Vick, you contain the team. Vick is a glorified RB who might arguably be one of the best athletes on the field at any given time. BUT AS A QB, HE IS AVERAGE, if that.
