Has anyone heard anything about the Dolphins interest in Naole?? This would be a great pickup for us. I know he is 33...but he has been a very good lineman for a long time. Parcells usually doesnt shy away from players just bc of their age!! Plus, the only reason he lost his spot was due to a injury (bicep, I believe). Since Jags were able to replace him during the final stretch of the season...they dont want to continue to pay him...which makes sense.

Since our O-line coach (Mike Masher) was with Jacksonville when they brought him in and coached him for 1 year...and Tony Sparano was also on that staff at TE Coach...their connections should be able to make this happen!!

Also, Naole is Hawaiian which would fit in nicely with Satele. He wouldnt even have to move out of Florida.

This move seems like a no-brainer...and would help us to solidify our o-line.

Carey back to tackle
Smiley at one guard
Satale at center
Naole at other guard
???? at other tackle

Its one of a couple options right now, including Williams and Olivea as well.

But the two Jags seem to have the Maser-Sparano connection.

The age doesnt bother me. We are YOUNG on O.

I'm not a big fan of Olivea...he got benched by S.D during the 2nd half of the season.

I would love Maurice Williams though. Just thinking we will probably have to spend a lot more money for Williams than we would for Naole.

Plus o-lineman coming off injuries almost always revert right back to their level of play even before their injury unlike many other positions.

I hope Williams or Naole or both become fins very soon!!

Im all for getting younger, but we are real young on O. I would have no problem adding Naeole.

I trust Parcells and Co...know what we need and will fill that need.

well we need a guard, so they could look at naole. just cuz you think theres a age limit doesnt mean we wont look at them. we arent going to break the bank on a 33 year old, but someone like Naole is what we need.

Yes...if you want to think like the old Dolphins...you'll go after Naole and spend cap money on a player that was let go because of ? How about age...injury.

how about skill? right now there is no young even average guard out there.

we have a hole there, there for we need to fill it with an actually guard that can start in the nfl and be serviceable.
