This is not pro Ronnie or con Ronnie, please read.

I'm not a big Ronnie fan but it I think it makes long term sense for the Dolphins to start looking at what they have in Ronnie being it is a contract year. How many of us can honestly say what quality a RB Ronnie is? I can't for one...he looks great one week and blows chunks the next two weeks. It is true they don't give him the ball like one would expect a "feature" back to get but it is also true he starts to slow and the run all to often has to be abandoned because it's lack of production has caused the team to fall behind.

I have been a critic of Ronnie but even with that expected big things from him this year. I was taken back a little by the performance last Sunday when I was expecting the Dolphins staff to lean on Ronnie more but was disappointed to see the same old story we have seen every other year. At a quick glance 34 RB's had more carries than Ronnie and I'm sure if you figured "touches" the number would be triple that number, to me that's somewhat irresponsible or even incompetent by the Coaching staff if they do in fact consider Ronnie the offensive bell cow like we are led to believe.

The Colts aren't a good run defense team and the Dolphins are at home on the big stage of Monday night so Ronnie should have plenty of things going for him.

If Ronnie can't prove more reliable than years passed in a featured role IMO the Dolphins need to go another direction. I'm not saying let him go but draft another guy to be the featured back. But that's just my opinion on the matter.

Ronnie needs to be used more in the passing game as well. Cam Cameron did an exellent job of getting Ronnie his touches and he produced. It'd be nice to see the Dolphins consistently pound Ronnie and use play-action and throw downfield. We seen neither last week so I won't hold my breathe.

I like both RB's but I think it would be better to use one of them a majority of the time. My ideal scenerio would be 20+ carries for Ronnie and around 10 for Ricky. Ronnie is the type of back that can wear you down and gets better as the game goes on. Ricky could do very well also with the 20+ carries per game but the thing about that is.... He doesn't even want to be a featured back again. You hear all the time about a RB getting into a "groove" as the game goes on and they get more carries, but our rb's Never get a chance to do that. I really don't like this 4 carries for Ronnie, then 3 for Ricky, then 2 for Ronnie then 4 for Ricky etc.. Formula that they seemingly use.

Vernon Carey-Chris Liwienski-Samson Satele-Rex Hadnot-L.J. Shelton > Jake Long-Justin Smiley-Jake Grove-Donald Thomas-Vernon Carey

Why the hell could we run the ball and make Ronnie almost look GOD like with the first O-line and we cant do **** with this supposedly improved and I don't have the #s but I am pretty sure twice as expensive O-line

Because Cam Cameron was a great offensive coordinator. Sadly he was also masquerading as our coach.
