This is another Ginn article from Real Football 365:

The word "bust" is one that has been thrown around quite a bit in the case of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr.'s two-year career.

The reason Ginn -- who has 90 catches and four touchdowns in 32 regular-season games -- has drawn critics' ire is because he hasn't yet played above his small frame (5-foot-11, 178 pounds). In addition, the ninth pick in the 2006 NFL draft isn't returning punts or kicks anymore, which is one of the reasons he was such a high choice in the first place. And with game-managing quarterback Chad Pennington under center, the Dolphins can't really utilize Ginn's downfield playmaking ability.

“Teddy is going into his third year and I think it’s time for him to really show what he was drafted here to do," general manager Jeff Ireland said recently.

hope we keep him hes a good #2, even if he was drafted to be a #1.

these threads need to stop.. i dont get some people.. yeah he was drafted high, but we have him and he is still a great WR so lets live with it.. if we trade him our suspect WR corps is even more in shambles...

I was going to write a huge post pointing out all the problems with this blog, but I'm just too tired of doing it. some people will always hate on him and there's nothing you can do about it.

We are thin at WR, so lets fix that by trading away our best receiver. :rolleyes2:

Ginn started off slow his rookie season but came on strong late. With a consistent quarterback in Pennington he greatly improved in year two and history proves that it takes THREE years for a WR to fully develop.

Ginn may never be a true #1 WR, but that doesn't mean he is a bust and worthless. A WR like Ginn who can burn defenders and go for the long ball will benefit greatly when Henne takes over in 2010.

Hey! I got an idea!

Let's trade away our leading receiver who is going into his third year (the year most receivers turn it on) and see if we can overpay for some washed up receiver to leave us in two years!

How does that sound?

Where do you get that? Did you mean potential to be a great WR?

I dont think there is anyway he will be traded this offseason. While I am not the biggest Ginn Fan, I would admit that he has improved year to year but still has aways to go.

This is his last shot, its his 3rd year, if he doesnt produce he will be traded/released or sent to the gutters as wilford was.
Chubbs

One thing's for sure: If Miami is going to look into moving Ginn, the time is now. Otherwise, the Dolphins will run the risk of another letdown year from Ginn.

I should probably quit my job too, otherwise I run the risk of getting laid off.

I wonder what people would be saying about Ginn if:

1) He ever played for a NFL QB that didn't have a noodle arm

and/or

2) He would've been drafted in the 20 - 32 range.

Released? He would have to have a REALLY bad season to just be released...

mmmmmmm noodles

I just don't understand the argument of how people want to get rid of a great quarterback in Penny for a potential good WR in Ginn.
Look at the positional value of QB to WR. I don't care how much Pennington is limiting Ginn, a great QB is more important then a WR anyday.

I am not saying we should get rid of Pennington, I am just saying to not blame Ginn because we have never had a QB that could play to Ginn's strengths.
