We can really use a guy who can return punts and kickoffs, and be a slot Wes Welker type receiver. Amendola went to the same school (Texas Tech) as Welker and is about the same size.....maybe 2-3 inches taller and just as tough.

Amendola was in the Cowboys training camp last year, and he was just cut by the Eagles. Watch this video highlight of him:

Actually looking at that video allowed me to see why he was cut...this guy isn't field changing type of ST..especially as returner..we need a burner with good vision.. I'm not sure which teams had more than 1, and could let one go, but we need to find him if he's out there.. Chris Williams showed me one thing, is that we're missing that guy...

Who would you cut to make room for him?

sorry but no, no, no, no did I say no? Come on we can barely let lose the guys we got. Times r'a changing homeboy. This is now a team you hope 2 make, not a team that hopes you make it.

So tell me who on the Phins is a better kick returner than this guy? I am sure you will say Ginn or Bess right???,,,,,that's all we need is to have our best receivers get hurt because we don't have anyone else who can return the ball. We continue losing games because we have the worse ST defense in the league, and are near the bottom in punt/kick return average homie.

Cobbs has shown some promise returning kicks.

I see that Yamon Figurs was released... now there's a guy I wouldn't mind seeing returning kicks for the Fins

Ginn is the best, but as you said, coaching staff won't let him return. Cobbs has potential, and is the only one I'd want on returns. I hate Bess on PR. People keep saying "Well at least he fields the ball well!". I don't want to hear it there are pleeeenty of players who can do what Bess does on PR's. He has 0 ability to return one to the house.

With that being said, I do think we should look to the wavier wire for a possible KR/PR, but there's a few guys I'd put ahead of Amendola. As of right now, Justin Miller, Mark Jones, and Yamon Figurs have all been cut, and would certainly fill a need of a KR/PR. There's also been word that Roscoe Parrish could be cut. I wouldn't mind looking at Amendola, but there's a few guys I'd put before him.

A slot WR who runs back kicks and punts that is a few inches taller than Wes Welker, you say? Sounds like Davone Bess.
