Dolphins sign Brandon Albert

the media was talking a MASSIVE deal and this deal, if correct, is not MASSIVE, like insane massive as ireland would have done.

this deal is right in there for veteran, starting lt's.

hickeys got BOTH fingers up!! [yep! at you hater!!]

NRA, these past two FA years have been dawn's work.....not that im complaining.

Congrats to Hickey on his first true FA signing. Grimes and Albert is a great start!!

So does this mean Jonathan Martin isn't going to be the starting LT this year?

Ravens re-signing OT Eugene Monroe to a five-year, $37.5M deal, per sources.

Basically their original offer to Monroe lol. Oh well, his agent gambled and lost. Doesn't hurt to try.

Now if Dolphins had wanted Monroe he would have gotten more money.

...."Ravens re-signed LT Eugene Monroe to a five-year, $37.5 million deal.

The deal includes $19 million guaranteed. It's less than Branden Albert got from the Dolphins (five years, $46M with $25M guaranteed) and Rodger Saffold landed with the Raiders (five years, $42.5M with $21M guaranteed). In other words, GM Ozzie Newsome has done it again"

he played this well but it looks like Monroe was everyone's 4th choice

He did nothing....and I'll remind you he woefully overpaid for Flacco. If any team would have shown interest in Monroe the price tag would have gone up. Ravens got lucky...or maybe not, only the other GMs around the league would know why Monroe got no action.

That was a quote from the story I pulled it from. I would rather have had Monroe for less money, I'm do not agree with spending huge on OL. I'm guessing we will regret this contract eventually.

Veldheer for 7.5 would have been much better. You don't need a stud OL, you just need an above average OL. The Seahawks proved that by beating the Broncos big time. Seahawks have a stud defense, and an average offense. Heck, I don't even think Russell Wilson is that great...sure he has Okung as his LT and Unger as his C, but we have Pouncey (and now Albert). All we need now are above average OL guys, lets stick to signing good defensive players. Id love to go for Revis and Byrd next.
