Dolphins sign fullback Jorvorskie Lane

Finally we are going to see the return of the "Fridge"

He broke a lot of tackles in that highlight video. He's a little slow, though. I guess we'll see if he has anything.

Guy looks impressive. Does he want it bad enough? IF so the Dolphins need a guy like this real bad!

We need someone - anyone who is gonna go out there and put some hurt on our opponents.

As far as I am concerned we have not had that around here for a very long time!

We are hope that he will work out but the odds are about 2% that he will make it in the NFL considering his past. I'd rather have a guy that was not drafted and missed playing for a couple of years due to killing 14 people then a guy who was not drafted and missed playing for a couple of years because he ate his way out of football.

You're probably alone in your appetite for mass murderers on the team!

ROFL. My point was that someone who never was drafted and has been out of football for any reason other that he is not good enough has a chance. But when you go from being a 230 pound tailback to being a 295 pound fullback, and you can't lose the weight even when your "football career" depends on it, then chances are you will never make it.

The only things driving him is the fact that he is married and has a couple of kids (and maybe that he does not want to get a JOB). What you want and need in a player is a love for the game that drives him to be in shape. There has been a lot of people who who great athletes but never became good football players. (Sammie Smith and Jason Allen for example)

reminds me of

this guy reminds me a little of rob konrad:ponder:

Man put him at FB and let him plow people and destroy blitzing LB's. This team needs another Larry Csonka!

Let's just see what Philbin and co. have up their sleeve with this guy.

If he played at 277lbs in the games highlighted, then he could be a great addition. For a guy of that size he is very quick on his feet, his legs are always moving and has some agility. Maybe if he loses 10-15lb then hemay be a tad quicker, but would he keep the ability to bust and roll over tacklers at a lighter weight. This guy could be a cult figure if he does stick.
