Like I said before the league competition might be NAIA level at best. There might be a chance for him to make roster or at least practice squad which pays about 4 times what he made in GFL.
even making practice squad would be quite an accomplshment for him. He tried out for AFL and CFL and had a workout with the RAms prior to the 2014 draft.

He ran 40's from 4.52 to 4.65 at a couple of things he went to.
He was considered the 164th best cb prospect that year by NFL draft scout 5-10/186

One part of the article that seems it was written by his agent was that he had offers from the cfl. Probably an opportunity to try out, it says the CFL was taking too long but the CFL starts play in June which would be before NFL teams even start play.
I doubt he turned down 80,000 to play for like 20,000 but anything is possible.
