I have a hard time believing a top rated OG would take 3 years for only $24M if his Achilles was fully recovering imo.
$8m per isn’t big money these days, so we could certainly spend the same or more on the other guard spot.I don’t think we throw big money into the other guard position, Daniels was our big signing on the line. Resign Wynn maybe someone cheap with potential like Trystan colon or a stop gap like Laken Tomlinson. Tomlinson was a pro bowler under McDaniel as OC in 2021. Both should be near vet min.
Yep. Called in the FA thread. Perfect fit coming of a season ending injury. Then next year fans will say the same thing if only we didn't have so many injuries.I called this one. He's the perfect fit for McDaniel's scheme.
PUP here we come.Does he currently have a leg or back injury?
Torn pec was in 2020 and he then played 52 of 54 games before the torn Achilles.Blown out Achilles ended season last year, torn pectoral the year before. Right up Grier's alley
So, do you think he'll never recover or that he will tear the Achilles again?Edit: yes. He tore his Achilles. Now I understand the signing. I KNEW there would be a major injury
You guys are happy now but come September when he’s on pup ans blame Grier I will be reminding everyone that you were all pumped and happy
The guy was just retweeting himself from a 2022 tweet when he wanted Miami to go after Daniels.Daniels is 27, not 24.
Yes 100% and I have been wrong beforeIf he's not on PUP to start the season, will you admit to being wrong?
I hear he's trying to sign Gerrit Cole now, is that right?Yet another risky gamble for Grier. He literally can't help himself when it comes to injured players.
All-Pro caliber guard play for 2 and a half more seasons? Dude was 3rd team all big 10 in college and no pro bowls and you want to label him an All-Pro?They signed him to a 3 year contract. Even if it takes him half of next season to get back to top form, you have an all pro caliber guard for 2 and a half more seasons.
