Somebody on here was wondering about our rookie signings. Well, at least one guy is in the fold.

Or Denny. Or Nalbone. One of those three ain't on the team this year. Though, it would not surprise me to see Nalbone go to the PS.
This is following the same trend as last season. It late May last year, we locked up our three 6th round picks(Parmele, Thomas, Hilliard), our 7th round pick(Dotson) and 4th round pick(Murphy). Our third round pick(Langford) then signed in early July. Our two second round picks(Merling, Henne) signed in the days leading up to TC(Henne actually signed the first day of camp). Long of course was locked up before the draft.
It appears the same thing will happen this season. Nalbone is likely not the only one who is going to sign in the coming days. I wouldn't be surprised to see Nalbone, Folsom, Gardner and Clemons locked up within the next two weeks.

haynos is going to the PS there's no doubt in my mind
the guy is a 3rd string TE who doesn't contribute on STs, i think that's why Nalbone was drafted, to upgrade the TE position (we're getting a better 3rd TE and we're lighting a fire under david martin's ***. We're also getting help on STs)

Also, the Lions signed a draft pick.
I like the bottom-up approach. It forces the higher picks to negotiate a lot more quickly to avoid losing out on bonus $ in the rookie salary cap.

Also with Martin coming off hernia surgery they get their drafted TE ready to participate. I'm glad to have a FO that doesn't make me scratch my head. Now when I scratch my head I know it's just dandruff.
