This made zero sense to me until I read he excels on kickoffs, where Jay Feely was AWFUL last year. I loved Jay's FGs, but his kickoffs were bad. I mean, really bad. Now maybe we were just spoiled after Mare, but every kick seemed to land at the 10. Interesting that rotoworld reports we will try Brandon Fields as the KO guy, but if that doesnt work out, based on the new regime's emphasis on ST this offseason, I would not be surprised if Rayner makes the team. My question would be this: do we have a good enough roster to carry 3 kicking specialists? Not so sure. And if not, what do we value more, FGs or KOs? Or, perhaps, is the difference between Jay and Rayner's FGs as big as the difference between their KOs? Very intriguing situation.
