It was just announced that the Dolphins signed Nick Rogers, Linebacker

The 26-year old Rogers originally was a sixth-round draft choice of Minnesota in 2002. He started 11 of the 16 games in which he appeared in his rookie season with the Vikings and registered 57 tackles, two sacks and three forced fumbles. He also played with the Vikings in 2003. Overall in his three NFL seasons, Rogers has played in 43 contests, starting 16 of them. He has recorded 85 tackles, a pair of sacks and four forced fumbles.

The 6-2, 250-pound Rogers was a three-year starter at defensive end at Georgia Tech who finished his career with 163 tackles, 31 stops for loss, 16.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles and an interception. A native of East Point, Georgia, Rogers attended St. Pius X High School. He was born on May 31, 1979.

I was hoping for a CB. Hopefully he will be a good signing though.

Now we have 8 LB's on the team. It's either that one of the current LB's are on the bubble, or Seau injury will be a long one.

Rogers is slooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. hopefully we just use him as a pass rush specialist.

ST.PIUS X H.S. ??? IS HE FROM CANADA CAUSE THATS WHERE I WENT

I just talked to a Minnesota Vikings fan, asked for his opinion about him. He said he sucks as a LB but is a good Special Teams player. I'm thinking that possibly this signing does indicate the end of Eddie Moore. Our backup OLB's are Jason Glenn, Eddie Moore, and Derrick Pope. With the signing of Nick Rogers, I feel that we're going to release really soon. I'm hoping we keep Jason Glenn, even with Seau being injured, I don't see us keeping 7 linebackers on the team which mean Eddie Moore or Derrick Pope will likely be released in my opinion, and I think it'll be Moore.

Currently our LB'ers look like:

SLB- Junior Seau, Donnie Spragan
MLB- Zach Thomas, Jason Glenn
WLB- Channing Crowder, Eddie Moore, Derrick Pope

I think Nick Rogers is an alright signing, we could use him on Special Teams... anyone is better than Eddie Moore who is always non existent and can't stay healthy. Wanny BUST that needs to go already, I've given him so much leeway hoping he'd amount to something considering we invested a 2nd round pick in him but I gave up on him.

A song I once heard about Morlon Greenwood...

"I miss 2 tackles when I wake up,
In the drill, I miss two more,
I miss two tackles in the Madden game,
And then I miss 2 more.
I miss 2 tackles in the time of need,
and 2 that I let score.
I miss two tackles about every play,
and then I miss 2 more."

Who did he play for last year?
He played for the Colts last year and was converted back to DE (his college position) this pre-season after spending his first three NFL seasons at LB. Sounds like a David Bowens LB/DE hybrid type.

What is the name of the real version of that song? The only time I've heard that song is in the video game NARC and I think it's funny. If I'm correct, the song says "I smoke 2 joints in the morning.." right?
