Just heard here in Australia that the Miami Dolphins have signed an Aussie Punter called Jy Bond. Obviously he was signed to compete with Brandon Fields.

I like this signing alot. Fields is very inconsistent. As stated above, there alot of great Punters from Australia. Glad that we are looking into the Punter position. It is a position that is often overlooked, but it is very important. Hopefully this Bond fella can compete and maybe show enough to take Fields spot.

he became the best punter imo when i watched him punt on us last season.
didn't know he was aussie though. I wasn't even aware of immigrant punters.

Most of the Punters that are lucky enough to head over to the US from down here in Australia would have played a game called Australian Rules Football (Aussie Rules or AFL).

Personally, I'm more a Rugby League fan and cant stand the game of "AFL", but I will say some of those guys can kick a football a long way.

The Eagles punter, Sav Rocca is also an Aussie.

Fields has not put it all together yet AND is a Cam Cameron/Randy Mueller draft pick . . . . he has all of the ability to be a great punter, but I am glad the Trifecta is bringing in some competition for him . . . . may the best man win, god knows after some of the great punting we saw against us last year, we could use a little bit of that.
