Dolphins sign RB Chase Edmonds

I trust MM knows what he wants at the RB position and that Grier will dutifully go get him pieces. That's sort of Grier's MO as a GM, and quite possibly one of the reasons he remains employed: he sort of has plausible deniability on moves that don't work out because he often seems to just be following marching orders from his HCs.

I don't like signing vet RBs. This isn't a huge cap hit by any means, and I expected us to get at least one RB in FA, but my preference is for the draft. In fact, I'd like to see us double up on RB in the draft this year. Give me Hall + Cook + Edmonds + Ahmed as our RB room next year and I'm all for it.

He should know they type of back he wants.

Hopefully they can add some OL help and then have flexibility in the Draft.

Good sign, he's a guy that is a one cut runner, catches the ball and very good blocking back. Two years for $12.6m, with $6.1m guaranteed. This doesn't prevent signing Johnson or Lindsay and still drafting a guy.

if our linemen can't block, we desperately need backs who can....

Exactly! Don't you think that our new coach knows the player given the fact he was in the same division as him? You guys seem to love the coach so I think he knows Edmonds style and how he would fit!
