Dolphins sign RB LaMichael James

I love this kid. He doesn't just make the first guy miss, 9 times out of 10 they don't even touch him. He's about the same size as Sproles. He looks to have great hands, like Sproles. He takes those short steps, like Sproles. And nobody seems to want anything to do with him, like Sproles earlier in his career.

No one wanted Sproles early in his career? Pure nonsense. A lot of reach going on to pump up this kid your advocating for.

The question I have is whether or not Harbaugh will cut him when he gets here next year. What, too soon?

That was one of the most pathetic highlight videos I have ever watched. :chuckle: I couldn't even finish and it was like less than three minutes.

Definitely too soon to speculate but my guess is he'd be the first guy cut. He literally quit on the team. He requested to be cut by the 49ers, for reasons I don't know, but they kept him on the roster anyway. He was disappointing the first week or two and then they cut him.

I'd like to see Lamar Miller return a few kicks or punts if he can do it safely. We need Moreno healthy to spell him in the backfield on plays immediately after returns for this to be an option though.

any reason why you'd like to see him return kicks? has he returned kicks in college?

Wasn't his nick name in college the black Momba .... Or in think I ember him in the Rose Bowl he from LA... Speed player. We could use him in the return game for sure.....let's get him coached and ready

Find a way to get him to the active roster. Landry cannot do kicks or punts anymore. James seems like that is all he may be decent at, but hey, thats an improvement over what we have.

The official word (at least from his camp) is that he has been asking for reps for two years and the Niners never gave him any, despite their promises to involve him more in the gameplan. Having said that, that highlight reel pretty much shows exactly why they never played him. Quick feet, good burst, but only average vision and no extra gear that someone his size really needs to make a difference. I think it's a toss up between him and Thigpen in terms of ability, and I'm not too concerned which one, so long as one of them takes Landry off the return duties.

You might need to mute it. That's a highlight video. Again, I'm not getting excited over this.

I hate to say this, because I respect this Dolphin player in his role, but... LaMichael James is the RB version of Brian Hartline.

The dude trips forward on almost every play.

I'm in No. California and a buddy of mine who's a big Niner fan says he sees him as a kick returner and will do good with the Phins.

I'm guessing it'll be an open competition between him Thomas and Williams and maybe even Miller during the bye week for that last RB/KR job.

See a guy here who keeps his legs moving, almost always gets to the second wave and picks up 8-12 yds per play, sometime more. What is the problem?
