Definitely too soon to speculate but my guess is he'd be the first guy cut. He literally quit on the team. He requested to be cut by the 49ers, for reasons I don't know, but they kept him on the roster anyway. He was disappointing the first week or two and then they cut him.

Perhaps Jonathan Martin bullied him into quitting!

If only we'd had a player like that on our roster some time recently. Maybe a player who was a blue chip type of mismatch guy who was picked at the top of the first round and led our team in rushing 2 years in a row, and could be signed to a cheap, home team friendly contract, and maybe we could scheme to use him better instead of asking him to run between the tackles? Not to mention a high character player with a tremendous work ethic?

Nah. Joe Philbin wouldn't squander somebody like that.

I'd love to know what went through Ireland and Philbins collective heads when they didn't even attempt to resign the guy. So dumb. So dumb.

He's not a good RB, but he was a pretty good PR. Much like Thigpen.

if we really needed a returner, why not sign Devin Hester last off season. He could have helped us return kicks and can play WR.
