Dolphins sign RJ Stanford

Uber "meh" level player

Worrying if he actually plays anything but special teams

I always liked him. I am okay with it.

Dimitri Petterson is far better, I do not get it.

I think he wants a bigger payday than teams are willing to give for him. He turned down Hawks for vet min and with some of the recent things surrounding him I can't imagine the Fins offering much more than vet min.

Not sure if he wants to really play or what's up..

Free agent CB Dimitri Patterson turned down a minimum-salary offer from the Seahawks.
We're not sure what Patterson believes he's worth. He's one of the worst corners in the league -- he's not even technically in the league at the moment -- and can't stay healthy. Patterson is also 31 and coming off a preseason episode when he went AWOL from the Jets because he couldn't crack a starting job for them. Patterson is "best" in the slot, but he's not even good there. Oct 15 - 10:08 AM

Sounds like he is a looking for a large payday or a he is a nut job. Probably both.

Veteran cornerback Dimitri Patterson has remained a free agent since the New York Jets released him in late August. Even though there's been interest, including a workout offer from the reigning champion Seattle Seahawks, he reportedly continues to hold out for a more lucrative opportunity.

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports 1 reports the 31-year-old defensive back has refused to sign with any team offering the veteran's minimum as the regular season heads into its seventh week:

It's an interesting decision. Most active free agents are waiting for any chance to arise with the hope of joining a team for the rest of the season.

Furthermore, it's hard to imagine many others turning down a chance to work out for a Super Bowl contender like the Seahawks. On the surface, joining that defense seems like a perfect opportunity to get some playing time in a proven scheme to boost your value for the future.

You know who I wish we had right now?

Nolan Carroll. For peanuts, why not? Always able to fill in, and always got better. He is buried (or hasn't played well?) in Philly. But I would be a hell of a lot more comfortable with him right now than our other options
