Miami Dolphins make offer to free-agent offensive guard

I knew we all knew he was in town, but I did not know if everyone knew they had extended an offer.

Guard Shelley Smith, in town for a free-agent visit, has a contract offer on the table from the Dolphins, but is mulling offers from other teams as well.

Have to think our odds of getting him are good. He is in our building right now, has an offer, played for our o-line coach in Houston and we offer him a good shot at being a starter.

If he signed here he's guaranteed a starting spot.. Thomas and Brenner are definitely not beating anyone out, well anyone with a pulse..
