Dolphins sign TE Justin Peelle

If anybody watched him play in San Diego..can anybody give me a quick short scouting report on Justin..?

Primarily a blocking TE, he's taking the role of what Lorenzo Diamond was to be.

What happened to Diamond? I liked him in the limited times I saw him play.

This is actually a pretty good signing. He was a good blocker in San Diego but I remember he also got used in the passing game. As far as backup TEs go, this is a pretty good one. Now, hopefully we didn't pay him as much as the Skins paid Robert Royal :)

I'm pretty sure he was released earlier in the off-season.

He did make a few nice plays that stood out......my thoughts when they release him is that he may have been lacking in other areas (blocking, ST) that don't stand out as much to us....but are things that Saban is really looking for in a 2nd TE.

Teyo is of the McMichael build, I can see them both staying for 2 Tight End packages on passing downs. Then Peele being the third tight end for running situations (H-Back perhaps?).
