Hey guys, anyone that lives in Fla, first i hope you are all OK. Second I heard hear last night in a post that Dolphins Stadium suffered major Structural damage from Wilma. Anyone confirm or deny this?

Other then that post, I haven't heard anything. I did read though that the Dolphins Facility was facing 100 MPH winds.

I havnt heard anything but that still doesnt rule out the fact this it was

it would take alot more than 100 mph winds to damage dolphin stadium structually. That stadium was built with hurricanes in mind. Im sure it has damage but not superdome damage, also the storm didnt last that long, so it didnt take a beating. nonethenless, that was a strong storm, i live in orlando and we had 75 mph winds, and a bunch of rain. i was driving to work in it.

is the power back in So Fla??? I ahve a buddy who lives in Boca, and he has no power. He is a big jet fan so i had to give him the Play by Play last night of the jets game. That was Fun!!!!!!!

nope, we have 6 million florida residents without power, they said last night that miami dade had 98% of its residents with power out.

Brutal, football sure becomes a footnote at that point. Good luck to everyone.

In Miami-Dade..we got 950,000 without power..And about 40,000 restored as of 6 am this morning.

I bet the Scoreboards are probably what were a little damaged. The stadium is solid.

you dont need to worry about the scoreboard, as long as we have freotte and chambers, we wont need the board.

well hey, that's no reason not to have the game on Monday night, the hurricane was gone ..right? stupid NFL, having the game on Friday night. Folks didn't need to prepare or anything, plenty of time left to get ready for this wimpy hurricane. We should of had it Monday like many of our northern fans wanted. Hurricane over, get in car, go to game... WHY NOT?

This is pretty ironic, i was watching the monday night game last night at a bar, and one of my best friends parents (who im good friends with), was watching the game there too. they were with a gentlemen is the sportscaster at one of the local stations (dont want to name). hes a real nice guy, and ive met him lots of time. he was actually defending the NFL for what they did to the fins.
