Anyone got pictures of the stadium, like

stadiumzone. net

When was the stadium inaugurated? :)

I hate this stadium, it really took the crowd noise out of the game, our home field advantage. Add to that playing on a dirt infield to start each season is ridiculous. The Fins need a new state-of-the-art stadium with a retractable roof. No more mud games we almost ALWAYS seem to lose. How about Miami coughing up some cash to build our 2 time Champion Marlins a Home???? And let the Canes have J.R.S. / Pro Player / Dolphin Stadium(i think there was one other, I forget).

How come the 50 yard line and the end zones are not painted with the Dolphins Logo like in years past? The field looks like a high school field out there.

Why would we have a new state of the art stadium when we just completed one?

Do you guys want PSL's?

The logo wasn't on the 50 last game because it was raining so much during and after the canes game on Saturday. As for the end zones, the least they could do is paint MIAMI on them.

You can paint the Dolphins logo in the endzones and replace them with the Hurricanes logo with a competent field maintenance staff. With all of Huizenga's money it's a shameful looking field!

I hear this complaint about crowd noise not being a factor because of the stadium design often on this forum, and I have to say that I think you are all out of your mind. The reason for the lack of crowd noise is the fact that South Florida is a melting pot of fans from cities across the country who cheer their teams instead of the Dolphins. I dont care what kind of stadium you build, you wont be able to change that fact. I will say though, I have gone to games in this stadium since day 1 and when the Dolphin fans represent, that place gets loud. Our last playoff win against Indy in overtime was crazy loud. Look at some of the crap they call stadiums in the NFL and I think we are pretty lucky. And if you dont like it thats too bad because they wont be moving anywhere anytime soon after putting 300 million into it the last couple years.

it's not the Stadium it's the fans. They were more rabid in the 70s and 80s but you had better teams then too. Joe Robbie is a great Stadium and I was there in '98 and it was incredibly loud and it can be that way again but it's up to the fans in the stands.

Absolutely....For those of us that in FL. you know we have a ton of fans from all over the country cheering for there team. You will not see alot, if any Miami fans at other stadiums....especially northern stadiums. Northern fans (we call them snow birds) move to FL to get away from the cold. Thus alot of PATs fans + Bandwagoners, Jets, Bills.

I dont think its the stadium though. It would be nice if the seats were closer to the field...but that isn't the whole reason. I've been too several games and it has gotten very loud. The problem is the last couple years. Fans aren't there so the crowd is almost dead. You look at the seats as the cameras pan the stadium during the TV broadcasts and it seems almost half empty at times.

I realize its hot and you cant always sit thru an entire game...but this is more about the fans not being there period...not just taking a break from the sun. If this team starts to win again and we're true playoff contenders the fans will come back and the stadium will be plenty loud.

Im pretty sure I read somewhere that the reasons for the lack of paint on the field was that the grounds crew were more worried about protecting the field through the rain the days before the game
