I don't know if this is the right forum for this or not.

My buddy is a huge steelers fan and we want to fly down for the game on October 16. Looking at tickets prices, this game seems to be around $180+ for the cheapest tickets. All other games you can find tickets for under $100. Is there something special about that game that's making it more popular? Anything going on that day at the stadium? Just wondering if there's a good chance that those prices might come down more in line with the other games or if something is happening that day that will likely keep it more expensive. Thanks.

It's the Steelers. That's why.

I noticed that as well. Even Stubhub tickets start at $175. Most every other game starts at $50-$60

Yes that's the way it is now, each game is priced different. I think I paid about $175 for Cowboys tickets last season and About $90 for the Ravens game.

Screw that! That almost pays for a whole season of NFL Ticket. I'll probably go to the Buffalo game. I'm sure they will hike the prices if they start winning.

You could always go the route of craigslist, as well.

Too easy to scam those printable tickets. Anyone can buy a ticket and print it out 30 times and resell it. You would never know until you got to the gate. I prefer some sort of guarantee. I especially wouldn't want to travel 4 hours to Miami for a craigslist deal. Not when I don't know the areas to avoid...like the one surrounding the stadium. LOL.

Those tickets were insanely over-priced at face value, I remember pricing them out because my girlfriends dad is a Steelers fan and I was going to take him to the game. I was able to score club level seats to the Dolphins vs Titans the week before for the price of Nosebleed seats vs the Steelers.

The Dolphins won't hike their prices, they are set this season. 3rd party sellers may raise their prices but that would be dependent on Buffalo being a good team too.

When I put 2 of my tickets up on ticket exchange for the Steelers game the "market" rate it assigned to them was over $400.

I was looking to come down for this game with a buddy as well and saw those prices. They did the same thing for the Cowboys game last year. They inflate the prices because people will pay it; I can almost guarantee the stadium will be full of Steeler fans.

I saw those ticket prices on miamidolphins.com and yes the Steelers and Patriots games cost much more in most sections. BTW be careful what you wish for... a few years ago Seahawks tickets were reasonable and available. Now they cost a fortune. I paid $300 + $75 for a LL end zone corner seat for week 1, and upper level seats were not much less than that. When Miami starts winning, we will never see prices as low as they are now; this year's Steelers prices will be charged every week.

It would be nice if they would make all games equal pricing. The inflated prices allow opposing fans to get more tickets. Miami fans will say, "I'll just skip this game and go next week." I can see the prices being inflated on secondary markets and I also understand it's a business, but this isn't the way to fill your stadium with home town fans.

Equal game pricing was the way it was forever up until last year and opposing fans still took over the stadium with equal pricing. The only way you are going to keep them out is have a consistently good team. Once you achieve that, dolfans will buy more season tickets and opposing fans won't be a problem.

Holy **** ... How much?!?

Damn. I was thinking about coming down for this one too.

Maybe not.
