We're 5-4 and he still respects us. I think it's clear to everyone what Jay Fiedler means to this team and how much better he makes us.

Other Peter King thoughts and tidbits.......

Monday Morning QB:

- I think, after watching Sunday night's Dolphins-Jets game, that I'm inclined to vote for Chris Chambers on my AP All-Pro ballot. What hands! What a tremendous ball-catcher on the sidelines! It's not often I use exclamation points about football players. But Chambers was just amazing against the Jets, even though he finished just three for 48 yards.

- Ray Lucas, how do you take that sack? I am incredulous that you took that sack.

- I really don't want to be too cruel to Lucas. God knows he feels sick enough already. But to be a good quarterback in this league -- to be a quarterback in this league, period -- you have to show up on the final drive of very big games. You can't take a dumb sack. You can't two-hop a decisive pass on the game's most important play.

- The big question about the Dolphins now is, Will they still be in control of any playoff destiny when they get Jay Fielder back? With Baltimore and San Diego coming up at home, I see Miami 6-5 when Fielder returns Dec. 1 at Buffalo.

- Get well soon, Cris Carter.

He is truly amazing and has wonderful talent. I was in awe of his abilitlities. what apick in the second round

It made me sick to see no TE on that end and Ray do nothing as he took the snap...I about threw up as the play developed seeing it as plain as day coming.

I don't specifically fault him for not having a winning drive as he is not actullay a a seasoned QB, but you are exactly right...two hoppers in the ground? Give the reciever a chance will ya' He is so gun shy it is not even funny.

Jay is going to have a tough comeback as he will be forced back a game or two too early. I will go on record as saying he will be lucky to be back for Buffalo and will struggle with the injury as it is a very tough one to deal with.

- Get well soon, Cris Carter.

Diehard

I think Peter King is a moron I used to like reading his mmqb but it just isn't as entertaining to reading when the whole bottom half of the article talks about his damn daughter and her field hockey team.

I respect what Chris Mortenson says more he is more insightful in my opinon and so is the before mentioned Tom Jackson

of course we dropped to number 6, what number is lucas!

IMHO we need two seperate rankings for Miami...

~Miami Dolphins (With Jay Feidler): #2 (hey, Green Bay looks awfully good, they're still #1)

~Miami Dolphins (With Ray Lucas): #32 (Personnaly i think even Cincy buries us with how we've looked the past few games)

*sigh*
