Dolphins still in play, should get meeting with Manning within 48hrs

Manning doesn't seem to be in a hurry to announce his decision ,the Dolphins are still in it. But I think he would rather not face the Patriots and Jets twice a year. Easier picking out west.

Exactly. He will sign with whomever gives the most guaranteed $. The Manning's aw shucks, choir boys looks and charm may fool many, but it always comes down to money, don't fool yourselves.
 
if he was never going to consider the Dolphins, why not just say "no" like he did to the Redskins, Seahawks, Chiefs and apparently Titans?

I honestly don't think it has anything to do with it. I mean even looking at the schedules of the Broncos and Fins next year, you could argue Miami has the easier schedule on paper. I think Manning was so comfortable in Indy, he wants to have the same feeling of "comfort" whereever he goes.

Some people think it's money that will be the driving force . . . I just don't believe that. I don't see Manning being persuaded by a few million to go in a situation he wouldn't be "as comfortable" in. He is gonna get paid wherever he goes.
 
I may be way off here, but I have a feeling that a backchannel deal is alreay in place with the Fins. All of this song and dance over the last 4-5 days with Denver and Arizona is to prevent anyone from crying foul regarding the tampering rule. I could be totally wrong, but stranger things have happened.
 
its all about money. denver can have the guy who wont throw IMO. pay him the money he wants. take his whole entourage for all I care. Philbin will want Flynn or Tannehill. I am fine with that. The future, not short term risky big time payout. even though thats what flynn will get, lean tannehill on upside and live with matt moore in new regime. we will be better than last year.

so they're going to hide their heads in the sand like an Ostrich? DOn't they realize that eventually Peyton will sign somewhere and then what? How will they save face from being in lockdown mode for a week and failing? There's no way they're going into lockdown mode to save face when it will actually do the opposite.
 
Maybe if he gets burned another few times Ross will begin to learn how to play poker.

How to keep his mouth shut and not leak any info about what he wants to the press. How many other owners had quotes attributed to them about Manning?
