Dolphins suitors for Branden Albert if Chiefs don't resign him

If the Chiefs re-sign him then Asomoah and Schwartz will be on the market...maybe Dexter McCluster too. Chiefs only have about $6 million in cap space and most of that will be used to sign their draft class.

I'd be more interested in Veldeheer but we need a new offensive line badly.

We need him in the worst way

No we don't....

here's a great idea lets sign a 30 year old OT for 5 @ $40m contract with a long injury history who is a marginal run blocker who's athleticism is getting sapped by ongoing back issues. Ya all that improves with age...this would be such a bad move.

I don't care at this point, we have 0 linemen right now, we need the LT position shored up in FA. It's the most important one for Tannehill's development. Can't trust a rookie at that position going into this season.

Ugh...

Not sure how I feel about Albert. All this hype and the dude always flunks.

Draft is stacked with OT's.

He'd be better than McKinney, but I wouldn't sign him for anywhere near what Long got. 2-3yrs max at 5-6M/year with a decent signing bonus, but I don't think thats going to cut it.

Ya sorry but that isn't a smart approach...just not caring that is. You don't just throw cash at that guy, it's flat out stupid. I'd rather build the rest of the line and bring back McKinnie than sign Albert and get stuck with another **** contract. Anthony Collins will get to the market, the other guys are up in the air. Enough with these guys on the down swing of their careers. If we had to retain McKinnie trade up a couple spots and get Zack Martin to be sure. Say no Fat Albert.

Doubt it. This is Alberts last shot at a fat contract and chances are he is looking for a 4-5 year deal along what Jake Long got (4/$36).

this is the kind of move that a desperate team makes...albert looks like he's declining to me but i doubt they are gonna trust tannehills blind side with a rookie coming off all that contact last year...

True but with the talent pool of OTs in this draft the market for his services could be softer than last year. We're probably gonna need to pick up a FA and draft an OT in the first few rounds. Albert makes a lot of sense if the numbers work.

Sign a Pro Bowl LT... sounds good to me. Injury history or not any play a Lineman could tear and ACL so that doesn't concern me. Ill take a good track record over injury history especially when it hasn't been recurring, Back in 2012 and knee last year if im not mistaken. Injury history or not id take him at $7-8 per

The only other consensus from fans is to sign a 28 year old career backup who has started a total 7 games. I dont care how good his 7 games were, he has been in the league for how many years and has only 7 starts? there was a reason he was only a backup so long and if his 7 games were so good Cinci would find a way to keep him around.
