http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachp...vy-seal-training-over-third-day-of-mini-camp/Last season, the Dolphins used a military-inspired credo as the basis for a team t-shirt.
This year they’e gone for full blown Navy Seal training.
Dolphins assistant receivers coach Phil McGeoghan revealed on Twitter the reason the Dolphins cancelled today’s practice, which would have been the third day of mini-camp.
While coaches love practice time, it’s also important for the players to bond. The Dolphins have made team-building exercises a priority this offseason.
They had a recent team kickball game that seemed like a good idea but ended up with an injury to kicker Caleb Sturgis.
The Navy Seal training is something that the team will likely never forget. And if it brought any of the players and coaches closer together, it’s more valuable than a mid-June practice without pads.
The players seemed to enjoy it
After back to back 8-8 seasons this team needs a little bit of bootcamp in there blood to get them prepared for this season and make them more disciplined
