Dolphins' Taco Charlton: Sacks in consecutive weeks

Should stick as depth at minimum, but definitely has the talent to be a player. Seems very hungry to prove the doubters wrong, and our defensive coaches have raved about him.

At least we found a Charles Harris replacement. He can be let go at the end of the season. There is nothing there.

Agreed.

Sadly I liked Charles Harris as a prospect pre-draft. Hasn't shown a single thing. Dude can't even get a token sack.

Given our current path, might as well let him play out the season. Certainly can't waste a roster spot on him when we'd rather develop any draft pick, in any round, more than we'd like to focus coaching on him.

Everybody likes Charles Harris on some level. He's demonstrated nothing but character, professionalism, and dedication to his craft.

Unfortunately, he just doesn't have the kind of explosive athletic talent needed to be an NFL pass rushing specialist.

When a 1st round draft pick is released on their rookie deal how does it work when they are claimed on waivers? Is he on a 1 year deal or did we pick up the rest of his rookie deal without the guaranteed money (this would be his 3rd year and we’d have him under contract next year as well)?

Like 90% sure waiver claims come with contract intact. Clear waivers = FA and no contract...

I saw that Charles Harris had a tackle for a loss! Miami definitely needs pass rushers and good to see Charlton off to a nice start with the Dolphins.

I'm on a wait and see with Taco. Hoping for the best of course but I'll wait a few weeks.

Harris has 2 forced holding calls and pretty mucb nothing else at the quarter pole.

Unfortunately I don’t see anything on the edge in the 34 looks we are putting out there either worth retaining.

God that was a lot of zone we played yesterday.

It was a tight end he got past, not a tackle

True but he flattened pretty well there and maintained his balance around the edge.

Still de’s are suppose to murder tight end one on one matchups when they get them.

Rivers is hard to sack cause he climbs the pocket and moves to space so well and always knows where his get out of jail free dump is

I don’t like that our edge options be it 43 or 34 couldn’t do more with those depth tackles pass rush wise.

Nice to see, but far from impressive at this point at least. He got a rundown coverage sack that should barely count, and he beat a TE in 1-on-1 situation which a DE should do almost every time. Let's hope he can build on that.

With guys like Rowe out there, do we have much choice?

Just allows guys like rivers to kill you with a million paper cuts when you can’t get any quick pressure from the front

Our pass rush was brutal to watch, that has to be a top priority in the draft( we're gonna draft at least two with our 1st 5 draft picks)
