Dolphins taking team to Southern California on Friday

The Dolphins, trying to beat Hurricane Irma, are chartering a flight to Los Angeles on Friday and will practice there next week in advance of Miami’s game at the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 17.
Owner Stephen Ross is financing a flight for players, coaches, traveling staff and their family members.

Impressive. As a player id still be concerned about tending to my home after the storm, but I guess as another poster suggested there are people or neighbors that can be hired or favored for such things.

Good for Ross... But perhaps I missed something. Wasn't part of the rationale for not playing this weekend at a location like Atlanta, Pittsburgh or Philly, because it would not be fair to the players to take them from their homes and loved ones etc. while the Hurricane hits? And isn't that what they/we just did?... albeit WITH their families (thanks again Ross!) Still feel screwed by the NFL... although its spilled milk at this point...
