Miami DolphinsTargets: Jarvis Landry 12, Jordan Cameron 7, Rishard Matthews 6, Greg Jennings and Kenny Stills (3), Lamar Miller 1

RB Touches: Lamar Miller (13 att., 1 catch) 14, Damien Williams (1 att., 1 catch) 2

Redzone Targets: Jarvis Landry 3, Jordan Cameron 2, Damien Williams, Rishard Matthews, and Kenny Stills (1)

Redzone Carries: Damien Williams 1

CBs Thrown At: Jamar Taylor 8 (7-54), Brent Grimes 4 (1-4), Brice McCain 4 (3-49)

Analysis: Jarvis Landry will be a staple in my cash game lineups on DFS sites this year; he gets a ton of unsexy low-depth looks but that will continue to provide a safe weekly floor. I wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up averaging 8.5-9 targets a week. I’m not concerned about Lamar Miller. He was in a tough matchup against a solid Washington front-seven and game-script wasn't in his favor. Miami ran the ball just four times in the first half.

CB's stats very disturbing considering the WR they were covering.. They (Taylor & McCain) allowed 80% completion rate and that will not cut it when we play a team with better talent at WR.

Compare it to other corners on other teams and it's really not all that bad.

Only one I'd be worried about is Taylor, but 0 td's allowed to WR's and 2 int's...it's hard to be mad at those lines. Now if we can cover the TE, that passing game would have been dead.

Any those on the quick slants? Seems like we gave up a few of those to Cousin.

As far as the corners go, washingtons run game was rolling. I think if the run wasn't going so successfully those numbers would be much different.

if we had tackled a little better on those plays, which is partly due to the CBA, our defense would have gotten off the field a little more early. anyway, here's to hoping our tackling improves with more reps.

Seems like it's missing the Sims target. :idk:

It's missing a few things, one is that it doesn't take into account our zone coverages and only addresses the man looks and targets. Overall, it's a fantasy football outlook which can be wildly inaccurate.

Taylor played well, Our defense is almost built to allow you to catch balls but we need to make the tackles, which Taylor did. McCain made on big play but gave up a lot more per catch than Taylor. Garcon was getting open fairly regular vs McCain. I'd go back to Taylor starting.

You also have to consider the quality of WR McCain was facing on the outside compared to Taylor in the slot and why Taylor's #'s look better on paper. Each of them gave up a few big gains to Garcon and McCain most certainly earned the #2 spot with his INT while covering Garcon on the deep left pass in the 4th.

Taylor will always give up multiple short gains because he allows such a big cushion. He doesn't mirror receivers deep as well as McCain or Grimes, so they tend to let him drop off the LOS and come downhill to make the stop. As often as not, that's going to result in a 4 or 5 yard gain for the receiver. It is what it is. I thought he played well, the first penalty was probably PI but it wasn't heinous from Jamar and I liked his aggressiveness. The second flag wasn't clever.

All of our corners play off coverage
