[Florida Today] Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor was named the NFL 101 Awards AFC Defensive Player of the Year on Thursday. It's the second time he has won the award, which is voted on by a national media committee of 101 writers and broadcasters who cover the NFL.

Taylor also donated the uniform he wore against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day to the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio -- which is located less than 30 minutes from where he played his college ball at Akron. The only part of his uniform Taylor didn't donate was his shoulder pads (he dontated pads he wore in 2005) because he's taking them to Hawaii for his fifth Pro Bowl appearance.

props to Taylor....I think he's officially certified himself to be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer after this season.....and im sure he'll have at least another 2 seasons to add to his numbers.

He belong in Canton no doubt, it just sucks that yet anothe dolphon icon will leave the game without a ring:(
