I really think JT is going to stay in miami Bill likes to have veterans on the team...I think bill likes JT attitude...I sure hope he stay...It hurt me to see Zach leave but like they say it's better to release a player a little to early, than to late!!!!

I hope he stays too. If our Dline is improved over last year and he and Porter are our OLB's in a 3-4 set, we should have a strong front 7 defensively like 2 years ago in Saban's last year. Should make for a pretty good defense.

Now we need a good draft.

I dont think we have to worry about that. Look who we having running the show. I think we will all be very happy come draft day.

''Look, I'm under contract with the Dolphins,'' Taylor told Sirius on Saturday. ``That's where I want to be. It's where I am, and I'm not retiring. . . . There's been no agreement. Is it possible that something happens in the future? They can decide to do whatever they want. They're in charge.''

Taylor told NFL Network on Thursday that his ''plan'' is to return to the Dolphins: ``I'm under contract so I'm staying there. I'm there and I've been for 11 years, and there's no place better.''
Alarm bells always go off in my head when I hear a player in this situation (of possibly being traded) say "I'm under contract" and "They're in charge". It's basically the players way of saying "Hey, I didn't ask to be traded" so his image doesn't take a hit with the fans and media.

Taylor told NFL Network he never has spoken with Dolphins executive vice president Bill Parcells. He also said the team might not like his plan to appear on ABC's Dancing With The Stars.

''I've never talked to him,'' Taylor said of Parcells. ``. . . I'm sure he's not thrilled about the show.''
Yeah, no kidding. Parcells and Co. want all of their players to participate in the mandatory practices and he won't be there. When asked what he looks for in a football player, Tuna said (and I'm paraphrasing) "I want guys that live and breath football".

I hope JT is moved to another team, we could definitely use the draft picks to rebuild this team. By the time this team is ready to compete, JT will either be out of the league entirely or a shell of his former self.

I can't argue with anything you said. We need the picks more than we need him.

Yupper

If we were a better team and were close to the playoffs, I would love to keep him. But this is year 1 of the rebuild process, it doesn't make sense to keep him for sentimental reasons.

our defense is better with him,but at the same time,i wouldn't mind the draft picks we could get with trading him,and he is the only player we'd get anything for if we traded him.

I Know we need draft picks, but draft picks are also a gamble. Every team needs good guys in the locker room you really can't put a price on that.. There is no clear cut leader in that locker room if JT leaves... We need the leadership for just one more year just because right now we are so young..and it will help for the future..more than any draft pick will now!!

That is true. However, it's high time some of these young guns start taking some ownership of the locker room. Zach is gone, and Jason's exodus is imminent. It's time for new leadership.

JT isn't the leader that he's made out to be, I was more upset to see Zach leave because of the leadership qualities he brought to the team.

I llke Zach to but i never heard him speak out on anything. How could you say Jt is not the leader last season he was the only one talking when the season was going down the drain.

Jason taylor is only a team player when the team revolves around him. I'll give the simple example that every offseason he hints at retirement and now he'll be off "dancing with the stars" instead of in mandatory camp with the rest of his teammates. A leader puts his team first, not his acting career for when he retires.

That's a very good point never thought about it that way.

Correct and a Team leader doesn't throw his rookie QB under then bus after only his 3rd start in the NFL.

Greast player Taylor was and still could be. Good team leader? Most definitely not. I don't blame Taylor though that many fans made him out to be soemthing he isn't or wasnt though.
