It is common freaking sense.....duh. We are installing a new offense, so this is stuff we will use against New England. The pre season....really? I thought most people know we don't run the full offense during pre season....guess not.
Just ask the Buffalo Bills how much and unexpected video taping of their offense can cost them. In their last Superbowl against Dallas, Jimmy Johnson happened to be watching an interview on TV with the Buffalo Bills practicing far in the back ground. He saw Jim Kelly practicing a quick shovel pass inside, which Jimmy had not seen before. When they looked at film they had not ran it all year. So because of that brief taping, that play was ran and stuffed several times during the game.
Yes, I've always thought that was a key component in Dallas' 30-13 victory.
Yep, totally agree. When Buffalo had to settle for a FG instead of a TD going into the half....those other 3 games of doubt started creeping in.Yes, I've always thought that was a key component in Dallas' 30-13 victory.

Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but it was a major determining factor as Jimmy Johnson has eluded to.

The Boys were down 13-6 at the Half. One of those stopped shovel passes forced Buffalo to kick a FG, the other caused a turnover in their territory. That game could have very easily been 17 or 21 to 3 going into the half. Who knows from there. I don't think anyone was vastly superior to that Buffalo team. That is one of the best teams ever, they just couldn't win the big one.I was actually being sarcastic. I presume that video is the interview from the America's Game series. If so, yes, I've seen it. But the fact is -- while it's an interesting story -- I find it extremely hard to believe that the shovel pass would have made up the 17 point difference between those teams. Dallas was the far superior team -- even with Troy Aikman's post-concussion affects -- and no shovel pass was going to change that.
