Lots of Dolphins notes on a Thursday:
  • Some Dolphins fans have wondered whether Laremy Tunsil, who has been inconsistent at left tackle, would be better off returning to guard, where he excelled as a rookie last season.
For starters, that's not going to happen. The Dolphins believed coming into this season that Tunsil can be a Hall of Fame-type left tackle, and tackle is viewed as a more important position than guard.

But a Dolphins coach described Tunsil's play this season as merely adequate and Miami expects better from the 13th overall pick in the 2016 draft.

Looks like AJ Derby will make his debut this Sunday too.

You have to wonder what the issue is with Tunsil. Is he willing to work for it? The natural talent is obvious.

needs a good Oline coach. With all the HC's about to be let go, hope we find one

I'm not giving up on him but I expect much better next year. The talent is there but is his head in the game or not? Corners and DT's take time to develop but top LT's come into the NFL all the time and are good right away. (Webb,Long). He needs to be much better in 2018

Ozzy rules!!

Seems dumb and uninterested. Common trait among a lot of dolphins draft picks.

Not giving up on a second year player, especially one that impressed as a rookie. He was better at guard last year. Left tackle is the toughest position on the line. I'll give him another year to improve, and another year after next to become elite.

We should expect drastic improvements next season though
