So how does the coach relate to McMichael's off the field issues?

Anyways, I hope he does get the job and leaves us. McMichael's production this season has dropped pretty bad, and still looks out of shape. The lack of discipline is the coach's fault. Time for a new tight end coach!

McMike's production is on pace for exactly the number of catches he had last year, so thats wrong. His performance/play has worsened and thats only his fault. I think he peaked and is on his way down. Who really cares if our TE coach leaves anyway, now we'll only be down to 28 assistants lol.

i think mcmike though is a leader on the offense has next year to realy produce or saban will move him

its not the coaches fault randy is havin a bad year. he's always been inconsistent, we just havent seen it this bad before.

McMichael is doing pretty well, not a standout season by any means but he is ranked 14th in the league among tightends. I am not sure about the coach though, two tightend sets seem to be the popular thing these days and we rarely if ever employ them. Not sure if that is more Dooley or Mularkey though.

speaking of tight ends -- i read the other day that tony gonzalez is ready to move on to a different team.... i was thinking what if he came here? i think with a combination of him and mcmike and peele we would have a lot of options on offense. ok go ahead shoot me

he's always started the season off strong. This year, not so much.

Why do you say that...because he hasn`t yet been arrested a third time for beating her up? McMichael has been a big disappointment imo for the past couple years. All that physical talent wasted.

Dolphins | Tight ends coach Dooley interviews with Louisiana Tech
Sat, 16 Dec 2006 07:54:11 -0800
<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/166">Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins AC Derek Dooley interviewed Thursday, Dec. 14, with Louisiana Tech regarding the school's vacant head coaching position.

I can see it now.....

PFT reports,

"The story of Dolphins TE coach Dooley interviewing for Louisiana Tech is just a cover. Our sources say Nick Saban cherishes this position and will sign with them by tomorrow."

Isn't Dooley the one who basically let the cat out of the bag that Saban was coming here when he called the front office and asked about stuff?

LSU offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher is also being mentioned for the position at La. Tech. Fisher would be a much bigger and more expensive name that La. Tech president Dan Reneau has been looking for, but more is pointing to Dooley now.

According to the News Star in Monroe, Louisiana, "during Fisher's meeting Thursday night in Baton Rouge with a Tech representative, it became obvious Fisher is also eyeing other jobs (FSU's OC position). The vibe was a bit unsettling."

Apparently Dooley's presentation was very impressive with "one person with knowledge of the meeting describing his presentation as stunning.''

Saban may want Dooley to stay, but money talks. Louisiana Tech paid their former coach, Jack Bicknell only in the $200,000 range, "but the school and its fund-raising arms are ready to put together a salary package in the neighborhood of $600,000, according to Wiley Hilburn, who is the head of Tech's journalism department and a member of its athletic council."

$600,000 > More than Fins give Dooley
