Look at that!!!!!!!! In your second picture, the pu**y has his eyes closed, as to say "Please don't hit me."

You'd have your eyes closed too just prior to impact...it's a natural auto-response. Ever watch boxing or MMA?

Look closely at Finnegan (or whoever that Titan defender is). If he was bearing down on you, you'd likely have your eyes closed as well just before impact...not to mention diarrhea running down your leg.

Great pics. Yea the eyes closed thing is a defence mecanism(sp) also your body trying to protect your eyes.
Still he looks like its rather early and afraid of the hit.

Yes I'm an avid fan, particularly of MMA. And I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't think guys closing their eyes when they're about to take a punch would make for a very good fighter.

And... that Ginn picture is hilarious.

The vast majority of slo-mo replays that I've seen of boxing and MMA (fan of both) and close-ups of NFL players about to get smacked or the ones initiating the contact will indicate what I'm talking about.

Like the poster above stated...it's a built-in defense mechanism. You can't control it and likely don't even know you're doing it...plus it happens in an instant and then the eyes open right back up...once the brain recognizes that you're still 'alive'.

With regard to MMA and boxing specifically, I will give you that there are likely times when fighters won't blink for an instant prior to eating a punch or kick....when they're not fortunate enough to see it coming.

I cant believe they didnt call PI on Crowder when he had that receiver in a chokehold in the beginning of the game, this was the worst officiated game I have seen in a long time!
