I'd have to think w/Holliday's new deal that Carter's a goner simply becasue of the sizeable amount of his contract.

It's high time we cut some of the dead weight off the roster so we can free up $$$ to sign better free agents.

The number of players cut might depend on the amount of money

the Dolphins deem necessary to have at a certain time...right now they stand pretty well against the salary cap...but to sign a player like Dielman...they'll need the money saved from releasing Mckinney, Anderson, etc.

Personally, i think the following are quite expendable in no particular order...
1. Carter
2. Mckinney
3. Harrington
4. Anderson
5. Wilkinson
6. Mare

Its time to trim some fat. I am sure Cam and Mueller realize there is some dead weight on the roster. I know that you have to keep a solid core to be competitive but sometimes you have to take a step backwards in order to improve and move forward.

do you think we will get wes welker back or yerimiha bell i dont know if i spelled that right but thatnks to who ever answers my question

Before cutting Carter Id resructure Jeno or cut his ***...... Honestly everyone on the offense should Restructure. Chambers and Mcmichael should restructure their contracts and so should CPEP.....

Bell is RFA so he should be back as for Welker I have no idea what is going on with him but it is gonna be hard to see one of these two go.....

Right away I'd cut Seth McKinney. His contract was not meant to be more than one year in length.

I'd also cut Joey Harrington relatively quickly...and Bennie Anderson.

Those three together should give you somewhere between $6 million to $8 million more to play around with and get done what you need to get done.

For Jeno James, I'd wait until we are able to reel in Kris Dielman...and even then I'd still wait a bit to see what else we'll be able to do on OL.

For Dan Wilkinson, I'd wait first off to see what happens with Traylor (he is a UFA, after all) and second what happens in the draft.

I don't see reason to ditch Mare this year.

I'm undecided on what to do about Carter. It depends on our opportunities in the FA market.

My opinion is Seth and Harrington are gone others I hope get cut are Bennie Anderson and Dan Wilkinson......... Mare wouldnt hurt if you can find a replacement...

Anderson is gone for sure. I'm hoping Seth and Joey, in case we don't draft a QB, can restructure to something more feasible. They're both pretty good backups to have especially when injuries start racking up as they always do. If there's one thing that's advantageous to Holliday's deal, it's that it puts pressure on Carter to accept a restructure. If he wants to stay, he'll have to, and he knows we already have a fallback plan in case he doesn't want to take a paycut.

we keep Mare but just make him restructure also i think we keep Daddy and make him restrucrue but i think we try to get a trade for draft picks with Carter and Harrington as bait!!!!

do any of you guys think we could keep yerimiha bell i dont know if i spelled that right and wes welker i now yerimiha bell is a RFA so he should be back thanks for the info Finatic8480

The Sun-Sentinel said that it is expected that the Dolphins will tender Bell, Welker, Jones and Lemon with the new 2nd round tender. That means if they sign the tender, they will have a one year, $1.3 million deal. If another team signs them to a contract, Miami can match the offer and keep them, or they get a 2nd round pick from the team that signs him.
