Dolphins to place Martin on reserve/non-football injury list

Like I said as soon as this story broke -- and got multiple thumbs down for stating the truth: Another waste of a second round pick.

Hate to say it, but this whole mess falls on the shoulders of the head coach. You see a problem in the locker room you fix it.
 
I believe the Dolphins need to figure out what happened then deal with it legally. Then as soon as they can get rid of Martin. Next year Richie should be gone as well. It sucks but who ever is GM next year is going to have to completely rebuild the offensive line. Hopefully it's someone who knows what they're doing.

Smells to me like "My vagina has been permanently injured, and I want to get paid".
 
Martin still wants to get paid no doubt about it and not have to play for it. That's what this is adding up to. He has been struggling and has now chokes but remember he is a premed student from Stanford which means he is not stupid. After reading some of the posts now I believe the guy has the talent but has not had the real desire to play NFL football since coming out of college and is looking for a way out without paying the price. So you are sure to hear much more from Martin and his agent especially if the Dolphins decide they want to quit paying the guy plus want some of that signing bonus back. You can bet that this is the next step in situation is wether the Dolphins are willing to pay this guy enough to shut him up and let him walk away.

WHY ?? Dont give him the luxury of going to another team , say maybe the Colts where his buddy Luck is , if we just cut him ALL PLAYERS might try pulling what Martin is trying to pull , i say we fix it that IF he ever dose play again , we have say so , just like Detroit had Barry Sanders contract and wouldnt let him play nowhere else and wouldnt trade him either , so if MR. Martin wants to play Football again we would have say so in his contract , or say IF we want to trade him or so on , noway we Cut him , maybe thats what he wants so he cn go anywhere he wants ?? FORGET IT BUB , ITs Miami way OR Noway ........

Most people just ignore the dick and go on with their work. Now, if the dick becomes incessantly abusive, guess what most people do?? They bring it up to management, not quit! If Martin didn't go through the proper channels to deal with the issue, that's on him. Just up and quitting like that, without trying to deal with the real issue, is a loser move, especially as it impacts completely innocent people.

True and it effects your paycheck , that if i was working ,that i couldnt afford to lose , because if i want to keep my house , my car ,exc. exc .i have to get paid , because nobody can live on bread alone , and imo since he didnt bring it to the attention of the head coach and GM , it smells like bull crap .

I'm trying not to insult the guy personally and we still don't know all of the facts, but unfortunately I've seen enough people do enough crappy things for money in my life that I gotta question what's really going on here.
 
Well we now know a few things. Whatever Incognito did was seen as worthy of suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. I think Ritchie is gone. He may have been a cancer in the locker room and we will probably be better off without him. Team seemed to perform better with him out of the lineup, so here's your chance Garner. Kind of looks like Martin will not be back to this squad either. Looks like McKinnie and Clabo for the rest of this year. They both did pretty well against a very good Bengal D Line. Hey, **** happens...move forward and make sure we beat a pretty tough team in Tampa. Go Fins!
