The phins......
a 1-6 team
a team that has lost to Houston, Green Bay, New York Jets, Pittburgh, New England, and Buffalo
a team whose best game boasts a game winning field goal against one of the worst teams in the NFL
a team who beats themselves before the other team has a chance
a team that is lost in the headlights
The Bears......
a 7-0 team
a team that has won at home by an average of more than 30 points
a team that shows no weakenss in any phase
a team that eats weak offenses for breakfast, ****s them out for lunch, and eats them again for dinner
Now, keep this mindset as I take you down the ride that this sunday was for me.
This entire week was filled with trash talking back and forth between myself and a friend of mine in a fantasy league that we're both doing quite well in. I took a 6-2 record and 2nd place into this week. My friend took a 7-1 record and 1st place. He is toating Bulger, Tj Housh, Ronnie, Caddy, Colston, Gould, and Chicago DEF. I, having 4 WRs on byes am left with Eli, Chambers, M Jenkins, Matt Jones, Larry Johnson, Jamal Lewis in for Westbrook, Shockey, Kaeding, and Baltimore DEF.
If you know fantasy football this year then you know that I was facing a slaughter with Miami going into Chicago.
Well, lucky me. My friend benched Ronnie in favor of Brandon Jacobs.
Also to my delight Miami played the upset respect game of the year and did exactly what I needed to win this game.
This guy has been slapping people around with Chicagos defense all year and I knew that it would require a miracle from Miami for them and myself to win.
I even do a pickup between myself and my dad. I picked Miami to lose with my head held low. I had picked them to win every game up to this point.
Anyway. Im now 7-2 and in first place. Thank you Miami, I couldnt have done it without you. Its so awesome that it was my favorite team that defied all odds to help me when I needed it the most.
I did not see this coming. This is the best day of my life. I cant imagine how it must feel to watch your team win the Super Bowl. But I'm sure that with the way things went for Miami and my team today, I at least tapped slightly into that feeling.
Go Dolphins! I love you guys!
Its moments like these that make all the bad ones worth it all.
I'm so glad I got 8th row tickets to the Christmas game. Check my countdown, I've got my priorities straight.
