Per Sun Sentinel:

-- Dolphins had a golf chipping contest at the end of practice.

-- Another TD pass to Mastrud fromm Henne near the goal line.

-- Doing some 11-on-11 work near the goal line today: Henne to Mastrud for a short TD. Play-action pass.

-- Matt Moore in at QB now. Two incompletions on first two passes.

-- Back from the radio. Dolphins doing some 11-on-11. Henne just completed a nice long pass down the field. Couldn't see to who; scrunched #.

-- Andrew Carter is on WQAM with Omar Kelly. They're discussing what's happening out there at Dolphins practice.

-- Really enjoying watching Brian Daboll, Dolphins new OC, coach 'em up. Very animated guy. Intense. Good energy.

-- Charles Clay has been a frequent target of his quarterbacks today. Looking good, too.

-- Gates nearly with a spectacular catch for a TD. Off his fingertips after he tried to reel it in.

-- Now back to Henne: 20-yard TD pass to Clay. Nice play. Charles Clay impressing, folks. Will be a tough match-up.

-- O'Connell getting in on the action, too. About a 15-yard TD pass to Patrick Carter in back of EZ.

-- Third play: Moore 20-yard TD pass to Gates in the back of the end zone. Second play was a short pass to Gates.

-- Moore comes in. First play: 20-yard TD pass to Clay, coming across the middle.

-- 7-on-7 redzone now. Henne to Bess. Then to Bush. Short passes. Then Henne to Marshall, who dropped a TD pass.

-- Actually, Allen is out. Saw him running around and thought he was back.

-- Fourth play, after a short run, is a toss sweep to Bush. Gains a few.

-- Second play: Henne playaction. Had Marshall deep on a post in the end zone. Overthrown. Marshall had beaten Sean Smith.

-- First play of 11-on-11: FB dive -- Polite up the gut. Picked up a couple. Cloud of dust, folks. Cloud of dust.

-- Will Allen and Brandon Marshall are practicing today.

-- I thought it was hot in August in Tallahassee. I've never felt heat and humidity like this, though. Don't know how/why fans sit out in this

-- Lots of segment work going on here at Dolphins practice. Stay tuned for 7-on-7 observations in a while.

-- Rumors circulating here about lots of scrimmage-like stuff going down at practice tomorrow (Sunday). Will be interesting to watch.

-- Back for more at Dolphins camp. Bryan Cox doing a boxing-like drill with players now.

-- Dolphins sign former FSU lineman Ray Willis. Release Micah Kia.

Good to see Henne scoring in the red zone on 11 on 11's

Looks like Mastrud may be an NFL player after all. I'll be watching his blocking in preseason.

Charles Clay's supposed to be balling today....really excited to see this guy next sat.

every CB is gonna win some battles and lose some. Even Revis and Nnamdi lose sometimes when they get tested.

I want to see how Gates and Clay handle the lights on Friday night....I like what I am hearing about these guys......If Clay can become a tough match up that will keep teams from spying on Bush.......

This is like the 4th practice in a row where it would seem Henne and the offense is clicking. We've been on here moaning and complaining about how bad this offense is and from most reports it looks as though the offense is starting to move the ball. Downfield passes, TDs, big plays by receivers...I think Clyde Gates has caught a TD or more in every practice.

I can't wait until Friday to see this team live.

Sure but this guy just doesnt have what it takes to be a starting cb ffs.Hes stiff at the hip and lacks quickness, agility, instincts and acceleration.Cant believe some people are ok with this guy starting.

and what about the praise he gets as well? Nevermind, I'm not getting into any arguments since I have to work soon lol. I'll leave it at this. Sean improved ten fold from his rookie to 2nd year. He became much better as a tackler and more aware of where the ball was in the air (as a rookie, he got beat a lot cause he didn't turn his head around). He has to learn to catch the ball, but he's a fine player to have.

Maybe Daboll wasn't a terrible hire after all? Time will tell. He seems physically and emotionally invested in the offense, that cannot be a bad thing.

Why were they practicing on the far field today? I was hoping to see them on the close field to the bleachers.

Sean smith keeps gettin beaten...and you dont wana bring in more CBs? I cant be optimistic or say our D is gonna be nasty if this guy starts at CB.

right. cause when he was starting last year, it wasnt like we had a top 10 defense or anything

not going to defend Daboll in Cleveland cause his offenses were bad, but Mangini's player decisions kind of sucked themselves. I got to see a lot of Cleveland games and really the only guys worth a damn on offense were Cribbs (who Daboll used in a lot of different ways), Ben Watson, Evan Moore (backup TE), and Peyton Hillis. Daboll did do a lot of different things to try and get mismatches, and sometimes it did work, but Mangini was horrible making roster decisions.

Plus, everything I've heard about Daboll is his players do like him.
