As I mentioned in another thread, I like Omar's coverage of the fins usually, but he is definitely a Henne hater. I think as a reporter he needs to be more objective in his reporting. His tweets are along the lines of "Chad Henne just hit Brandon Marshall on a simple slant during 11-on-11. Fans clap, excited about a completed pass." and "Chad Henne just hit Anthony Fasano in the seam for a 20-yard gain. Robot celebrates. Emotion chip is working.". I think as a writer, these types of comments are irresponsible reporting.
Pouncey needs to be put at his natural position which is LG,and Incog put at Center.
They drafted Pouncey with the 15th pick because they think he can play the pivot. You don't draft guards with the 15th pick.... not even these bozos.
Like I said before the draft, if these guys take Mike Pouncey with the 15th pick.. it's to play center, even though he's a natural left guard. So if he fails at center, at least they have a "quality" guard to show for their incredible talent evaluation and personnel skills.
This
Fair enough - but that pick for a C/G at 15 still doesn't make sense BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE A QB.
Well, they're saying former Giants center Sean O'Hara was seen at Phins camp today and is expected to sign. So maybe they drafted Pouncey as a guard - although Ireland said he was a center - although we know he's had struggles with snapping - and although Daboll didn't have the playbook ready for him at draft time - and although Sparano mixes-and-matches the OL combos like a mad scientist.
Anyway - I guess we drafted a guard at 15th overall - if that makes you feel any better. And that would be a guard who's not supposed to be as good as his twin brother who was drafted at 18 to actually play C.

Hopefully we'll have O'Hara at center and Incognito just as bench depth.
Long-Pouncey-O'Hara-Jerry-Carey is probably our best chance for a decent OL.
People tend to forget Maurkice was supposed to play RG for the Steelers last season, but the Steelers other option (Justin Hartwig) was flat out awful. That and Maurkice picked up the offense real quick. Ken La Vicka points out that Pouncey has looked good with snaps.
Of course, he also pointed out that Henne looks good and that he's dealing with some really bad drops today. BUT nobody will ever look at positive Henne news, especially when Omar and Armando (guys who this forum thinks suck as far as credibility goes) say Henne has struggled. BUt when guys like La Vicka say Henne looks solid, it gets ignored.
That would take Henne/Moore out of the equation...

They both did the blog . . . trust me, I heard the radio show yesterday, Omar has a definite ****iness and he has NOTHING positive to say about Henne, never has, and he would rather hope Henne falls flat on his face instead of being unbiast with his opinion. He EVEN admitted that he thought Pouncey was terrible, told everybody he sucked, had some REAL analysts show him some film and "flip flopped" on Pouncey and blamed his "University of Florida" biast for his original opinion. Trust me, Omar has no clue what he is talking about and Andrew Carter has to be influenced by his nonsense every day.
