Only trailing the 49's in miles traveled this year the Dolphins will travel just shy of 27,000 miles. In comparison the least traveled team this year are the Eagles who only go 7,000 miles...

thats a lot of moving, mentally we need to be head and shoulders above where we were last year.

4 of the division games are 1000s of Miles away from Miami.

Miami always travels alot do to the division they're in and how far away Miami is from other nfl teams.

Don't forget going all the way to the west coast to beat the Chargers, we always seem to have their number so I'm not worried about the travel.

Kind of similar to the cowboys and the nfc east. In terms of traveling, it would of probably made more sense to leave the colts in the afc east and move the dolphins to the afc south when they reshuffled the divisions around ten years ago.

Miami has lost their last two trips to San Diego

Except miami don't have any rivalries with Houston, Jacksonville or Tennessee.

there is also the london game back and forth, but we have a bye after that

Wonder what the sports science dept has done as far as travel goes. There must be some things that can be done to ease the burden and effect of the actual travelling...make it comfortable, restful, etc. I know an away game will always be an away game, I'm talking about the journey.

3 hours isn't much, but I wish the league would have made the Buffalo game sooner (like Thurs night) to accommodate Miami travelling for the following Sunday to England.

Also, wont be done but maybe after Buff on the road, we stay local and go to Philly?

first of all philbin has lifted the dress code during away games, they don't have to wear suits anymore

Well I hope the jet they are on have larger seats than the last time I flew, I barely fit.

I don't see why it is that big a deal. NBA and NHL guys travel almost every day, and even though these sports might not be as physical as the NFL, for some of these athletes it is just as tough. They also are flying on chartered flights and staying in five star hotels. Other than a long trip to London, they shouldn't have much jet lag or be worn out.
