Dolphins trying to trade for a running back

....what? ....why?

Just use a draft pick on a rookie. Who would we even be targeting?

Read the article for the nauseating options.

This is dumb. Might as well have resigned Miller than go through this nonsense and give up valuable picks. I don't understand why they don't just draft one in the mid-rounds at this point.

Agreed. Incompetent decision to let Miller walk and then whiff numerous times in the off season.

"picks and money"

Seriously tho, we might as well just use up our picks and cap, we cant draft for **** anyway

Was gonna say, we'll be fresh out of both before the draft....

I'm surprised Knile Davis is getting so many mentions.

In weeks 11 and 12 when West was injured, it was Spencer Ware who racked up the majority of carries. Knile finished the season with 28 carries for 72 yards. He was pretty much relegated to returning kick offs.

I wonder which backs we are looking at. Hmm they have to be overpaid and mediocre for Tannebaum to look at them hmm.
It must be Shane Vereen lol

I don't think anyone is in love with him, but he is 4th on the chiefs depth chart so he would be dirt cheap.

He has had success in the NFL, he's still young, has had great coaching with Andy Reid, has good size/athletism.

I think a lot of fans here have this idea that trying to trade for a RB means looking for big name running back, I don't think thats remotely true, they just want a veteran, who has experience IMO.

Knile at least still has some possible upside, although you do wonder how he dropped so far down the depth chart.

No rivers doesn't suck, thats why behind one of the worst olines in the NFL, he still threw 29 tds and only had 13 picks, despite the fact his offense was completely decimated with injuries.

Give rivers our offense and he puts up 40 tds with his eyes shut.

My point stands, good QBs/RBs don't need a good oline to be productive.

You should look up rivers play for a couple years there in san diego as a veteran even where he basically threw picks every time they entered the red zone or had a penchant for the big mistake in the clutch last 2 years under norv turner as i recall...even got turner fired with his play

But hey carry on with the our 4th year going on 5th year qb is the reason this teams not winning and a coach killer...it has nothing to do with incompetence around the qb

He made some costly fumbles that cost some games. He fell out of graces which is why I think he could be had for a song and the fresh start would do him good.

...losing Miller was just an totally awful amateur move.

We had the $$ to keep him with no problem.

Tannenbum sucks.

BNF.

I know I've said it before, but I still say the damage was done with Miller. He was gone, smoke in his trail. Too many times getting pulled out of the game after a great series or mid series, or just not getting carries.

I think it would have taken a stupid amount of money keep him vs looking dumb letting him walk...I'm blaming prior coaching...he is the one guy I really wanted back too.

Kniles davis basically became a kick returner cause he put the ball on the ground and i think he had some durability issues...i agree a change of location may do him good but he can't be worth more in trade right now than a late rounder...doesnt have great vision either

If you wait they may cut him anyways

My statement had nothing to do with all of that. All I said was good qbs/rbs will produce no matter who is on there oline which is what rivers did.
