Well i am sooooooo over talking about the Jets game. SO I'm starting up a Dolphins v Cardinals thread.

I like this game it should be another exciting one. I think their defense is nowhere as good as the jets so i think our running game is gonna be able to get going Gore ate them up big time so i think we can get the R&R express on track this week. And they dont have the defensive package like the jets i honestly do not believe that they can get the pressure the jets did for the first half. i think our WR's will show up more but i think our TE's will SHINE again i think Fasano will have a TD again this week.

AS for our defense the cards line is suspect and we got consistent pressure on Farve even though he has a super quick release. Warner is good but he is not farve and is FAR less mobile so he wont be able to avoid the pressure and i think we get to him 5 times YES 5 times. Now they do have great recievers probably the best tandem in the NFL but i think our pressure will slow that down considerably. Tough we will have to work very very hard this week on keeping with our assignments in the secondary.

They will be able to score but so will we and since we will be able to run we will control the clock i think our pressure makes them one dimensional another close one but the Fins get to 1-1 this week

Fins- 24 :woot:
Cards- 20

Some notes-

The Cards were 6-2 at home last year.

The Cards averaged 26 points per game last season

The Cards defense looked exceptionally fast and quick against the 49'ers last week.. I heard that from more than one valid source.

The Cards haven't started a season 2-0 since 1991.

I don't know about some of the other members, but when I think of Fitzgerald and Bolden against our secondary I get nervous. We're going to have to seriously bring the heat down on Warner to disrupt their passing game and hope we can mount a sustained drive long enough to keep their weapons off the field. Our secondary are going to earm their pay this weekend.. without anytime to rest with the Pats coming in a week later.

Our running game really has to come alive. There is so much expectation and our backs are just far too good to be reduced to the embarrassment we witnessed on Sunday. Let's get it together boys!

Lastly.. which I think will be our bain all season long.. our receivers. I'm not going to mention HIM. The person whose name rhymes with HIM.. so I'll focus on the other receivers. I have no idea why Wilford didn't whiff the field on Sunday, but I'll chalk that up to rookie coach mistake. I'll also chalk it up to.. lets not have it happen again. Since we're 'turning the botom of the roster" there is no reason why we can't take a bigger London and let him play on the outside. Bess and Camarillo may have some use, but I don't expect much from them. Wilford definately is the key this week. And perhaps London if he can get some separation. Otherwise it's the 8 man box all day long. And we haven't proven that we can counter that.. not this year, or last year.

The Cardinals have a good team and i think we had a better chance when Matt Leinart was the starter. I think the only way we are going to beat them is ball control and pressure on the QB. It's like facing Coles and Cotchery again in terms of talent but having a far less talented QB to throw them the ball.

Coles and Cotchery can't hold a dime to Fitz and Boldin. Fitz and Boldin are the best combo corp in the league, in my opinion, and will be much tougher to contain than Coles and Cotchery were.

With that said, we have a better chance of stopping their run and getting to the QB, and that's what we'll need to do if we want to win this game.

Fitz + Boldin vs. Goodman + Allen is like a 2 vs 1 fight.

We can do this fellas. Have faith, but enough with these score predictions!!! your jinxing us!!

The Cards will roll us this weekend. Our WRs are a non-factor, and they'll dare us to throw on them, just like Jets did. Stack the line, our running game becomes an afterthought, and you're looking at a big loss.

The reason we made it interesting against NY is because contrary to popular opinion on here, the Jets are, in fact, NOT a good team, and Mangini sat on the lead.

The defense will probably make it interesting going into the half, then expect one of those immediate scores at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Like those deflating 40-50 yard bombs that makes it a 14 point lead or whatever, then they just pull away form that point.

Cards- 30
Phins- 13

I'm not saying Cotchery and Coles are as great as Boldin and Fitzgerald but what i meant to say is that the combination of Waner, Fitzgerad, and Boldin are about the same as Farve, Coles and Cotchery.

Two Great WRs and an average QB= Boldin, Fitz and Warner

One good receiver, one solid receiver and a great QB= Favre, Coles and Cotchery.

You have to remember that the Jets spent on the OL big time in FA and we still got to Favre 3 times. Win or lose, Kurt is in for a long day...

Hey, if I'm wrong then great, but there's just way too much pointing to us getting beat bad.

We're facing a better defense and a more explosive offense.. it's just not in the cards this game, no pun intended.

The Cards defense ran ALOT of stunts and blitzes against the 49'ers last week. They may not be as good a defense, but against a young line like ours...that missed quite a few assignments last week...the Cards will be a real test of our lines ability to correct to errors. If the line is just plain to green and not able to integrate Thomas' replacement well...we will have problems getting anything done on offense.

Here's hoping our line can man-up...

If we dont watch out.. The cards could easily blow us out... I hope we come out on top

These aren't the same old hapless losing cards. They aren't going to roll over and die in the Arizona heat. I won't dare wager a guess to this game, just because I seemed to be off on my assesment of our team from last week.

I pointed out my concerns in an earlier post. Im going to take a let's wait and see approach.
