Dolphins Video Director Struck by Lightning During Practice!

...unless you have time and distance as a buffer. That one's still too fresh.

Not when electrocution is the cause...getting killed by your husband with a claw hammer because all you wanted to do was get frisky, well, that's a little humorous.

But it's funnier that he did it rather than her dying.

Best wishes to Dave Hack and his family, I hope he has a speedy recovery and everything is ok.

Suonds like from the reports that he is ok... but it makes me wonder:
Is he by any chance a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America?
Do I smell a "Final Destination 3" in the works?

No, someone made a lighthearted reference to the Boy Scout deaths last week when 4 guys were electrocuted as they pitched a tent that touched an electric line. Death and serious injury are never funny.

That was me, I confess, I am a horrible person...

by the way, it was more than just the 4, there was a Scout Leader and Boy Scout last Thursday that were killed by lightening and then yesterday there was a boy scout in Ohio that was killed by lightening...

So while it may not be funny, its a amazing coincidence.

Oh, and if the videographer had been killed, I never would have made the joke.

Wonder if Saban will catch flack for not retreating out of the rain sooner.

I'm not positive, but that isn't Saban's call. It's Kevin O'Neill's I believe.

Hope Hack is ok....here in Colorado quite a few people get killed here every year mainly due to lightning strikes at high altitude....the Broncos have an indoor facility to keep them from getting hit by lightning and also to deal with the snow in the Fall....you would think Wayne would pony up for an indoor facility.

Maybe Saban is god and has stepped up his media restrictions... Ok sorry that was bad..I'm glad the guys ok though.

Just saw something about it on the Weather Channel....glad he's ok!;)

I'm a little concerned about the title of this thread. Was anyone actually struck by the lightning? It would be awful if his family/friends read this and got the wrong idea.

Anyway, I'm glad that no one was seriously injured.

This was in the PBP

Dave is fine, he was not struck," said Dolphins Chief Operating Officer Bryan Wiedmeier. "He's a veteran of South Florida storm and instinctively knew what to do."
