As a restricted free agent, San Francisco would have the right to match any offer sheet Hicks signs. But the 49ers, who have ample salary-cap space, wouldn't receive draft pick compensation if allowing him to leave because they gave Hicks the lowest possible one-year tender offer ($850,000) and he wasn't drafted out of North Carolina A&T.
 
I remember seeing Todd Johnson play last year and he was the Bears version of Yeremiah Bell. The guy is a special teams Ace and plays with a mean streak. He is all over the field and can tackle. Defitnetly an upgrade over Tillman and wouldnt mind him as a Dolphin.

Yes, definetly an upgrade over Tillman, Hicks would be okay too, wouldn't cost us a pick either :wink:
 
Hick would be good as the 3rd RB, if Ricky doesnt get reinstated It wouldnt surprise me to see us Draft a RB in the Later rds or possibly try to pick one up during FA.

He could be a possible return guy as well. But, good depth.

I say use a 2nd round pick and find a return guy.
 
Hicks only does KR, Im looking at his stats and he doesnt do PR. I think we need to find a good KR/Pr or one that can provide the Depth that Welker gave us at the position.
 
It defitnetly seems like we are eyeing good talent. it also seems we have an eye for defense and special team in FA. Seems like the Draft is gonna be about Offense and CB. I still would ike to see Mike Gandy get picked up by us and Porter as well.

Oh yeah, he's still unsigned. Any news on him yet???Where he visited if the Dolphins are interested???
 
Johnson would basically complete our safety group is Bell comes back. Unless we deal Hill for a pick that is but I doubt it.
